Sportsmen 3 Killarnys 2

It took 16 weeks for Sportsmen to win a game last year, this year it only took 2. Newcomer or old timer(depending on how u look at it) got them started and Jamie Magee netted the game winner in the third period combined with solid goaltending from Shaun Cuoghi and it was a win for Sportsmen. Killarnys got a goal from Greg Spitzner and Mike Haley but just couldn't get the late goal they needed to tie.

Stonecutters 6 Martys 3

The Stonecutters jumped all over a shorthanded Martys team with 3 first period goals and kept the offense coming throughout the game. Jack Clark had 2 goals, defensemen Jeff Jordan added a goal to go with his steller defensive play. As expected Martys fought to the end with 2 goals from Mike Carr and 1 from Thomas Binetti but it was just to big of a deficit to overcome.

Howarth Group 3 Snipers 1

Howarth Group can do it a lot of ways, they can score a ton of goals or just shut a team down. This time they chose to shut the Snipers down. Savoys received a goal each from Jay Astbury,Danny Byard and Chris Caplin, and as always very solid goaltending. The Snipers got a third period goal from Jeff Rigby but it was just to much Howarth Group-Savoy's.

Ram Law 2 Vutts 0

Ram Law looks like they are bearing down defensivly this year. Rob Shagon scored a first period goal and that was all they needed behind solid defense and shut out goaltending from Mike Dipilla. Vutts also had excellent goaltending from Jason Ciarlante but couldnt muster up any offense against Ram Law.

Papps 4 Wildflower 2

Is their a hotter player then Kevin Luber? Last week 4 points, this week a hat trick and Papps has a victory and a 2-0 start to the season. Sandy Heller had 2 goals for the Wildflowers keeping them in the game but Papps held on for the victory.
